Multimedia Studio Policies

Usage
- The two multimedia studios in the Learning Commons on level one of Homer Babbidge Library are open to current UConn students from any of its campuses
- Training is required to use the equipment in the MStudios —new users will meet with a student educatioal technology assistant (SETA) to discuss and document their project.
- Walk-ins are allowed but reservations are preferred. Reservations can be made with (SETAs) by phone (1.860.486.1187). Appointments are for 2 hours but may be given away if students are more than 15 minutes late at arrival time.
- Reservations are made on a first come --first served basis.
- MStudios are for classroom assignments, academic research-related activities, or registered student activities business. The software was purchased under an educational agreement and may not be used for profit-making or business purposes.
- Please check out with a SETA when you leave.
- All students must read, understand, and sign the Copyright Policy.
- The hours of the MStudios are the same as the Learning Resource Center.
- Failure to follow these policies results in denial of MStudio privileges
Behavior
- Unattended personal belongings will be turned into the Library’s Security Desk lost and found
- General University Library policies apply to persons in the MStudios regarding behavior, food, and drink.
Equipment
- The furniture in the MStudios is for these rooms only. Do not remove.
- Students are responsible to leave the MStudio as you found it. Do not tamper with software, equipment, or cables.
- Student must bring their own external storage device. Files are deleted upon re-boot. External hard drives, large flash drives, or DVDs can be used. UConn’s dropbox can be used in an emergency. Please find it at http://dropbox.uconn.edu
